Someone call the Grammar Nazi!

Many times in the past, I was teased for being particular about correct grammar... sometimes TOO particular.   Sometimes I'd break into giggles, or blurt out to correct someone's faux pas.  But hey,  I've greatly improved from how I was 15 years ago.   I can stay poker-faced in the midst of grammar gremlins threatening to unleash a riot on my sanity.

Kudos to my teachers who gave excellent English classes in St. Scho Manila and Ateneo de Manila, and maybe the overall culture of my 'kolehiyala' alma mater.

Speaking of Ateneo de Manila, it was the reason why this particular Facebook ad caught my attention.  I NORMALLY pay attention to Facebook ads, mind you.  Only because I was intensely churning out hundreds of online ads for nearly 2 years, I've made enough mistakes and did so many permutations to know what works and what bombs when it comes to making effective Facebook ads (especially those that generate click-throughs).

But that's not the point of this blog post.

Today, I noticed that even if ads are edited and reviewed, and even filtered through Facebook for approvals, errors still happen... even glaring ones.  This ad makes it all the more obvious that these guys definitely need someone with perfect English language skills:

If you haven't spotted it, visit your nearest eye doctor.  If you've been re-reading for over a minute, I bleed for you.  C'mon, that's less than 180 characters!

It must be the grammar nazi within me... still very much alive and kicking.
