On a regular day, Makati traffic can be a real bitch. Even if the buildings are nearby, I was so used to hopping on and off a cab, or bringing my car only to find myself spending more time looking for parking.
Today, after my dental appointment, I found myself in the company of my PSI friend, Des. Stepping out of the building, lugging my laptop bag on one shoulder, and my Thai silk purse on the other, I was ready to hail a cab. She had another idea: Walk to Soliman Bldg.
I hesitated. With my 2 bags, even if I was in flipflops and a comfy, summery jumpsuit, I wasn't psyched for a walk. But then again, I wasn't going to lose anything except a few dormant fat cells lounging in my thighs, hahaha.
So off we went. When you're spending the time chatting with a friend, distance doesn't really matter. The best part? We decided to stop over Sango Burger in Amorsolo and I discovered their delicious UNAGI RICE BURGER! Too bad I don't have a pic to prove my meal. A fat large slice of barbequed unagi was nestled between strips and strips of nori, sandwiched between 2 all-rice 'patties'. It was super nomnom, except for the minor detail that the teriyaki sauce had a slightly burnt taste.
And so we discussed about business opportunities, pending issues, and life in general.
This is my 2nd time to walk from meeting venue to meeting venue around Makati. The first time I tried it last week, I found myself getting a yummy footspa-pedicure in Nail Republik after a satisfying meal at Trilogy Canteen.
Bottomline: I'm actually having fun! :D
Today, I Noticed That...
...the little things matter when your life's a daily hustle and bustle. Growing up, people noticed how observant I was, even with the little things! In the little things come insights. From insights, a new, deeper level of understanding. And from that, sometimes great ideas sprout! So, what have YOU noticed today?

Someone call the Grammar Nazi!
Many times in the past, I was teased for being particular about correct grammar... sometimes TOO particular. Sometimes I'd break into giggles, or blurt out to correct someone's faux pas. But hey, I've greatly improved from how I was 15 years ago. I can stay poker-faced in the midst of grammar gremlins threatening to unleash a riot on my sanity.
Kudos to my teachers who gave excellent English classes in St. Scho Manila and Ateneo de Manila, and maybe the overall culture of my 'kolehiyala' alma mater.
Speaking of Ateneo de Manila, it was the reason why this particular Facebook ad caught my attention. I NORMALLY pay attention to Facebook ads, mind you. Only because I was intensely churning out hundreds of online ads for nearly 2 years, I've made enough mistakes and did so many permutations to know what works and what bombs when it comes to making effective Facebook ads (especially those that generate click-throughs).
But that's not the point of this blog post.
Today, I noticed that even if ads are edited and reviewed, and even filtered through Facebook for approvals, errors still happen... even glaring ones. This ad makes it all the more obvious that these guys definitely need someone with perfect English language skills:
If you haven't spotted it, visit your nearest eye doctor. If you've been re-reading for over a minute, I bleed for you. C'mon, that's less than 180 characters!
It must be the grammar nazi within me... still very much alive and kicking.

...Powerpuff Blossom likes hot choco! PasikBlogan Challenge #3
Yup, you read it right. I heard it straight from Powerpuff Blossom's mouth!
| "I want my hot chocolate with lotsa' lotsa marshmallows right NAO!" |
My hunny conjured this brilliant blogging 'contest' called "PasikBlogan - Blog More to be More", launched last Aug. 1, 2011. It's a 30-day challenge for anyone who wants to up the ante of their blogging powers. In a world where blogging-for-money has proliferated the blogosphere, I thought it'd be a refreshing change to read about stuff that's purely written for the sake of WRITING, challenging one's personal thoughts and drawing out the best of one's creativity.
Pasikblogan Challenge #3 (Aug.3) is this: Coffee Talk with a Superhero - Blog about a conversation you have with a Superhero. Check out what a friend of ours, @kuya_law, came up with this cute post: A Quitter-Winner's Journey: PasikBlogan #3: Blogging with Blossom.

...I've given this blog design much thought.
I finally ventured into Networked Blogs, and now I realized if I REALLY want to share my blogs to the universe, then I have to get serious about content.
And tonight I just spent a good 45 mins. fixing the layout of this blog. I'm quite happy with the outcome. Nothing too fancy, nor blatantly annoying.

What is your most memorable travel mishap?
My college theater group and I missed our LAX-MLA flight because a friend decided to go a wee bit more shopping. We were told that the next available flight was 2 months later. This happened a few weeks before college graduation >__<
this blog needs serious updating!
The pain that I experienced over 6 months ago has been replaced by a love so incredible, yet true.
I already reached the point when I firmly decided to move on, fueled by the clarity that came from him.
Then last October 2010, in the midst of my Heroic Leadership Seminar, he admitted his true feelings. Feelings that he kept denying and kept hidden for long.
I was stunned at first. I had met someone new a scant 7 days prior.
But I realized I couldn't lie to myself either.
And so I find myself in a very loving and fulfilling relationship today. Happiness! :D
